This year, Newbury-based 3T additive manufacturing is celebrating 20 years in additive manufacturing, having evolved from a predominantly rapid prototyping company to a repeatable and sustainable serial production business.
Over the last decade, 3T additive manufacturing has grown successfully and positioned itself as a leading global supplier of AM components for high-value applications.
In order to expand its market-share the company intend to further internationalise its activities and develop new business models that will leverage the skills and competencies it has on a global basis.
3T-am has ambitious plans that centre on a continuing expansion in internal capacity, while supporting key customers with complete AM installations at their sites and pushing for an international expansion of the business.
“We are working on all three options and expect the future of the company to develop in these directions. The centre of service, R&D, product development and production of 3T-am will remain in the UK for many years to come. However, if the company is to benefit from the knowledge built up over the last 20 years in AM, we need to multiply the use of that knowledge by supporting our customers through the AM journey to create their own stable production facilities either run by the customer or 3T-am.
