A world-leading technology company has appointed a new figurehead to lead the company’s strategic growth in the global advanced materials marketplace.
Anike Bütow joins Lucideon as Technology and Strategic Leader, to build upon the company’s continuing success in the aerospace, construction, energy, healthcare and technical ceramics sectors.
The role will see Anike looking towards the future and identifying opportunities in new markets, services and technologies, by assessing global trends and their value, including global strategy assessments and the domestic and international expansion of the company.
Based in Zurich, Anike brings a unique, international perspective and wide-ranging expertise to the role. She speaks five languages, is a Certified Internal Auditor and registered dentist, with experience in finance and internal controls, dentistry in the public and private sectors and in the management of medical device clinical trials.
Anike says: “Lucideon is all about innovation and its business touches on so many industries and technologies. Our goal is to be the technical partner for emerging technologies and to be really at the forefront as a consulting partner for companies and organisations.
“The sky is the limit. We can touch on many aspects in the global marketplace and are in an exceptional position to expand the business globally.”
Anike’s appointment is significant to Lucideon’s high growth ambitions. Last month the company announced a significant investment in staff, systems, facilities and ventures into new markets, including 20 new members of staff, new laboratory space at its New York State facility and a £250,000 investment package in IT systems.
It now employs more than 240 staff around the world – with the vast majority based at its global headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent. Exporting the region’s expertise internationally is central to Lucideon’s growth plans. Its global footprint already includes offices and laboratories based in North and South Carolina, New York and in the Far East. The company has also opened new offices in Switzerland and Austria – and is also currently planning to open sales offices in China, Japan and Korea.
