At the leading edge of manufacturing advanced composite prepreg solutions, SHD Composite Materials has introduced an exciting new range of innovative tooling and component prepreg systems, offering faster cures from lower temperatures and 30 per cent savings in laminating time.
Having seen another year of sustained growth, the company recently announced it has acquired its first European facility in Slovenia. The full range of SHD products will be available from SHD Europe with the same levels of quality as well as pre- and post-sales customer support for which the company has an established reputation. The plant will be run to the same AS9100 quality levels as the Sleaford facility and European customers will experience a seamless transition as business
is transferred between the sites.
Following an expansion strategy in the UK, the company has also formed SHD-MTI to facilitate the manufacturing of mass transit interiors with its primary innovation being PFA308 that boasts key qualities of being a fire-retardant, bio-based and non-toxic phenolic alternative.
