Maka Systems GmbH, developer and producer of CNC special machines for wood, aluminium and composite processing, has been sold to the listed Chinese company CSG Smart Science & Technology.

The relevant purchase agreement was signed in August 2018 and after the fulfilment of certain conditions including the existence of the necessary approvals by Chinese authorities, the purchase contract becomes valid and the acquirers expected a closing of the transaction before the end of October 2018.

CSG Group is headquartered in Shanghai with 4,000 employees and has a turnover of approximately 300 million Euro. The company operates in the industrial high-tech sectors and is one of China’s market leaders in smart manufacturing and smart logistics. The company has been listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since 2011.

CSG will accompany Maka Systems into the next phase of growth. Appropriate funds are provided by the new owners. The Nersingen site will be strengthened through targeted investments in R & D and service.

Maka Systems will continue to be led by Klaus Kern in the future. He had taken over the management in May 2012. “I am delighted to join the industrially-oriented CSG Group in driving forward the company’s future direction,” he states. “With the listed CSG Group as a partner, we will now systematically continue our growth strategy in Europe and especially in China.”

Ruijun Yang, President CSG Group, has closely examined the special machine manufacturer with his team, and was able to convince himself of its efficiency. “Maka Systems’ outstanding manufacturing solutions will continue to thrive in the fast-growing Chinese electric mobility market, and CSG’s high-quality industrial base in this market will play a key role,” he claims.
