Mirka UK has been focusing on innovation and has recently launched a wide range of tools, which have been designed and developed to offer increased productivity, efficiency and a reliable high quality finish, while also allowing businesses to control costs and look after the health of their workforce.

Mirka’s new brushless battery driven spot repair sanders, the Mirka AOS-B 130NV and Mirka AROS-B 150 NV are perfect examples of this innovative thinking. The new sanders are suitable for multiple operations including use across various composite substrates, as well as E-coat and primer sanding applications and will produce a highly quality and consistently smooth finish while also maximising productivity. Their ergonomic design makes them easy to move from job to job and allows users to operate the products for a long period of time, while delivering good control over the sanding process. They also provide economical and consistent performance for the duration of the sander’s battery life, which can last up to 16 hours when used on spot repair applications.

The recently updated Mirka Deros now features a free of charge app designed to place the health and safety of users at the forefront of the technology. The My Mirka app is connected to the sander via Bluetooth and provides users with real-time measurements of vibrations.

Jim Fulton, sales manager OEM, Mirka UK, says: “The smart features combine an integrated vibration sensor and Bluetooth connectivity. Via the app installed on a mobile phone, it is possible to monitor the vibrations levels in real-time. By keeping track of vibration levels, users and companies can make informed decisions that affect operational health.

“Those in the sanding industry recognise that long-term exposure to vibrating hand-held machinery can be damaging, with health issues such as vibration white finger (hand-arm vibration syndrome) affecting thousands of industrial workers. At Mirka we are putting health in focus.”
