Cannon is able to provide complete turnkey solutions for high and low density polyurethane technology, epoxy and CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer) technologies, from the pre-forming of the reinforcement to the injection and metering of the chemicals. The dry and wet side of the production process can be perfectly integrated in a tailor-made solution for each customer’s specific requirement.
Cannon designs, manufactures and supports every aspect from single stand-alone units up to complex, turnkey and customisable production plants for many industrial applications. Including automotive interiors and exteriors, rigid insulation for the cold chain industry and complete refrigerators plant, building and construction insulation, technical components and medical equipment, sealing and gluing for lightings and electrical enclosures, encapsulation and potting for electrical and electronic components, as well as complete slab-stock lines and bulk chemical storage.
The ‘heart’ of polyurethane technology lies in the mixing head, where various chemicals are blended before being deposited in the mould or on a conveyor. Cannon has produced more than 25,000 mixing heads for a wide range of formulations and final applications.
Metering systems were one of the first products Cannon developed approximately 50 years ago and are still one of the core-businesses of the company. Easy to program, to be operated and maintained, Cannon Afros machines are available in high-pressure versions, pump- or piston-driven, or low-pressure, now being used by two generations of transformers.
A very wide range of equipment is available from the company for the moulding process, such as mould-carriers, turntables and carousels to hold them, ancillary dosing units for additives, blowing agents, fillers and colours, storage plants, premixing stations and finishing equipment.
With solutions for each stage of production it is no surprise that Cannon can offer special turnkey solutions for each application of polyurethanes and composites in the automotive and refrigeration industry as well as other industry sectors.
